What's On? The Fan's Guide To The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 250

NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series returns to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park August 24th to 26th for its only Canadian appearance, the Chevrolet Silverado 250. This weekend will mark the first time in NCWTS history that an international track will host a series playoff round.

Joining the trucks in on-track action will be the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, the IMSA Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama, the Canadian Touring Car Championship, and the Nissan Micra Cup. 

As usual there will be just as much action off-track as there is on. Back by popular demand, the Truck Series Hauler Parade returns this year Friday at 6 p.m! The Truck Series will also be holding an Open Garage Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., as well as an autograph session in the Paddock E autograph tent at the 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Both events will require guests to have a wristband. Wristbands will be given out in a limited quantity, listen to the Track PA and 90.7fm to find out where and when to get yours!

The NASCAR Pinty`s Series will be holding their autograph session in the Paddock E autograph tent on Saturday at 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Saturday you will also be able to get autographs from your favourite CTCC drivers at 12:30 p.m. in CTCC Paddock F, as well as your favourite IMSA Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama drivers in their paddock from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. On Sunday you`ll be able to meet the drivers of the Nissan Micra Cup in Paddock E at 1:00 p.m.

Over in the Marketplace, the Canadian Tire Action Zone will be here on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Head over to visit “Canada’s Garage” where you will find outdoor games and challenges for all ages. Also in the Canadian Tire Action Zone you will find Ron Fellows’ no. 88 car from 2010, and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Ron himself will be there to sign autographs.

The CTMP Marketplace, near the Beer Garden, will be hosting a Saturday Night concert followed by fireworks. At 7:00 p.m. Punch Douglas will hit the stage followed by a performance by Chevrolet Emerging Artist Showcase winner from Boots and Hearts - Ajax’s own Kris Barclay.

The CTMP Marketplace will also feature a variety of vendors including Horn Dawgs - serving delicious BBQ - also Beavertails, Kickass Donuts and Corn Roast, the Enniskillen General Store with Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream, Johnsonville will be sampling bratwurst, Kubota, Surf n Turf Instant Shelters, Chevy Race Face and more! The Blue Lady Food Truck will be in Corner 3 with breakfast sandwiches, gourmet hotdogs and hand-squeezed lemonade.

The Trackside Grill will also be open all weekend and offers a variety of combos. The Carlsberg Beer Garden will be open all weekend and DJ Misha there on Saturday and Sunday to provide a soundtrack for the party. The Beer Garden will also feature extended hours on Saturday (11:00 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.) to accommodate the concert! The CTMP Merchandise Trailer will also be there for all your souvenir needs, including an exclusive event T-shirt.

Don`t forget to enter in our CTMP Photo Contest for a chance to spend Sunday in our Grand Prix Club! All you have to do is take a selfie at our CTMP Photo Spot and post it to Instagram tagging us @CTMPOfficial and use #CTMPLife in your caption to enter. All entries get a free event poster from the Merchandise Trailer. The Grand Prix Club winner will be notified on Saturday Night or Sunday Morning.

This weekend there will be complimentary golf cart shuttles to help you get around the track. They will run on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with pick up being from in front of the Marketplace entrance, Corner 3, Corner 5 and Family Camping (Corner 7).

Weekend SuperTickets, Camping and Grand Prix Club passes are available for purchase at the gate. Children 16 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult!
