CTMP’s RaceFest to ‘Rev Up’ Clarington

Canada’s biggest sports car weekend, the Chevrolet Grand Prix, rolls into Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) on July 7 - 9. But before the exotic prototypes and GT racers take to the legendary road course north of Bowmanville, fans can preview the race weekend action at Clarington presents the Chevrolet Grand Prix RaceFest on Wednesday, July 5th at the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex.

This is a totally free event that will feature race cars and drivers from the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, as well as a display of GM high-performance vehicles including the Chevrolet C8 Z06 Official Pace Car. Don’t miss all the community and motorsport displays, food trucks, music, and prize giveaways with race tickets and swag to be won!

This is your chance to get up close and personal with the amazing machines of the WeatherTech Series including the GTD PRO Corvette Racing C8. R, the GTP Whelen Engineering Cadillac V-Series. R prototype, and two of AWA Racing’s Duqueine D08 LMP3 prototype racers. The Michelin Pilot Series team Thaze Competition will also join the fun with their Mercedes-AMG GT4 spec car.

Meet Canadian racing legend and CTMP co-owner Ron Fellows, and some of the Canadian drivers competing at the Chevrolet Grand Prix including Michael DiMeo, Orey Fidani, and Anthony Mantella. The drivers will be on hand to chat to race fans, sign autographs, and take some pictures!

So bring your passion for speed to the Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex on July 5th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, and join us for an adrenaline-fuelled celebration at Clarington presents the Chevrolet Grand Prix RaceFest!
