Castrol presents the VICTORIA DAY SPEEDFEST

May 19-21, 2017


The kick-off to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s season features the NASCAR Pinty’s Series and the Pirelli World Challenge (all classes). The Canadian Touring Car Championship will round out the on-track action. The traditional Victoria Day Weekend fireworks display will take place on Saturday evening.

VARAC Vintage Grand Prix

June 16-18, 2017


Organized by the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC), this annual historic auto racing event features beautifully restored cars from the past 50+ years of motorsports. Classes include Open Wheel, Historic & Vintage Production, Sports Racers, MG & Triumph Challenge and Group 70+ are also on the schedule for Canada’s biggest annual Vintage Festival.

Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix

July 6-9, 2017


Canada’s biggest sports car race of the year, featuring the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for exotic prototypes and GT race cars, makes its only north-of-the-border stop. Also in action over the four day event is the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge and much more.

Canadian Superbike Doubleheader Weekend

August 18-20, 2017


Canada’s top motorcycle riders compete in a doubleheader points race for the national Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship. This is the premier stop of the season for the Superbikes, along with other national classes including Pro Sport Bike, Amateur Superbike, Amateur Sport Bike and the Ninja 300 Racing Series.

Chevrolet Silverado 250

September 1-3, 2017


The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series make its only Canadian appearance for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 on its traditional Labour Day date.

Joining the trucks will be the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, Canadian Touring Car Championship and Nissan Micra Cup.


Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is a multi-track facility located north of Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. The facility features a 3.957 km 10-turn road course; a 2.88 km advance driver and race driver training facility with a skid pad and a newly reconfigured 1.5 km go-kart track.

Corner 2 was dedicated to the memory of James A. (Jim) Clayton who passed away in 1994. Jim was the first General Manager of Mosport and at the time of his death was a Director of Mosport Park. He was President of the Canadian Racing Drivers Association for many years.

Corner 5 was named after Stirling Moss who suggested the layout during a visit to Canada in 1960.

7 Mario Andretti Straightaway Entrance

The back straight was named after Mario Andretti who was clocked by Radar at 178 MPH on July 17, 1967 in his Brawner-Ford Indycar.

10 Whites Corner

Corner 10 was named after Ron and Eve White who lost their lives in an airplane crash in 1970. Ron and Eve had been long-time supporters, workers and organizers of car and motorcycle racing in Canada. Ron had been President of the British Empire Motor Club and both he and Eve were very active in the Canadian Motorcycle Association.
