Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (formerly Mosport International Raceway) has been presenting major league entertainment to fans since 1961. The 750-acre, multi-track facility is located less than an hour east of Toronto.
Recognized as Canada’s Home of Motorsports, the facility has hosted just about every class of road racing on its famed 3.957 km circuit, including Formula 1, IndyCar, sports cars, stock cars, endurance racing, motorcycles, motocross, showroom stock, historic vintage racers, “Big Rig” trucks and karts.
Canadian Motorsports Ventures (CMV) which includes Orlando Corp. Chairman Carlo Fidani and Canadian road racing legend Ron Fellows, purchased the facility in June of 2011.
In 2013, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park's schedule features Canada’s top national championships and many of North America’s best road racing series. The biggest event of the season will feature the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series making their first Canadian appearance, Labour Day Weekend, August 31 - September 1.
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is also a featured stop for the country's top domestic motorsport tours; the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (three appearances), the Canadian Touring Car Championship (twice) and the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship.
In addition to the historic road course, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park has three other circuits on the grounds.
The Speedway is a half-mile oval that’s home to weekly stock car racing and short track feature events, including the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series on June 22.
The Driver Development Centre (DDC) is a 2.4 km advanced driver and race driver training facility, with the Bridgestone Racing Academy as its primary tenant. The Academy is regarded as one of North America’s top race schools, graduating several of Canada’s current crop of international racers.
The 1.4 km Kart Complex is an important proving ground for Canada’s racing stars of tomorrow.
