The Series running at this event include:
The GT Sprints as presented by CSC Racing will be split into two groups: GT1 and GT2 will run on the Super Touring Grid, while GT3, GT4 and GT5 will run on the Improved Production Grid. The GT Sprints provides some of the closest, most exciting racing in Ontario – you don’t want to miss it!
The Millers Oils F1200 Championship and Master Championship will run, including the Radial Shootout, open to Canadian and US drivers.
Formula Libre invites all open wheel cars to come out for the final event of the year: F4, F1200, F1600, F2000, Radicals and other open wheeled and sports racers are welcome to compete.
The Classics grid, featuring VARAC’s G70+ (cars built between 1973 and 1989) and G90+ cars (built between 1990 and 1994), always put on an exciting show.
The Vintage Historic grid, including VARAC’s racing and production cars built prior to December 31, 1972. Spridgets, Mini’s, MGs, Triumphs, Fiats, Porsches, just to name a few of the classic marques that will run this weekend.

As an added feature on Sunday, there will be a 30 minute “Grand Finale” Fun-Run (non-points race) open to closed wheel cars from the GT Sprints and Classic grids. There is no additional cost to run this race, we want to end the season with a showcase for our sedans, sports cars and racers.

Pirelli World Challenge To Return To CTMP In 2016

Pirelli World Challenge has announced their exciting 2016 schedule with eleven racing weekends set at legendary race facilities and events.

The 2016 season will mark the 27th year for one of the world’s most competitive and entertaining sedan racing campaigns.

All classes will compete on Canadian Tire Motorsport Park’s historic 3.957 km grand prix circuit as part of the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend, May 19-22.

Five of the Pirelli World Challenge 2016 events will serve as headliner weekends for the PWC seven classes – GT, GTA, GT Cup presented by MOMO, GTS, Touring Car, TCA and TCB – which saw more than 100 entries at many of North America’s historic race tracks in 2015.

On Saturday, September 12, the WC Vision board voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Scott Bove as CEO and have appointed Greg Gill interim CEO until a suitable replacement can be found.

“In 2015, the Pirelli World Challenge brought outstanding competition and variety to the North American motorsports landscape,” said Greg Gill, general manager and interim CEO of WC Vision.

“In 2016, the PWC schedule again should provide the racing fans at many of the world’s most iconic road racing venues with over 20 auto manufacturers in action. I want to thank the eleven racing facilities for their hospitality in hosting the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge events.”
